The Woman Behind the Movement
A Life Unraveled, A Legacy Rewritten
I didn’t set out to change the world.
I set out to survive it.
No one is their worst mistake.
Toby Dorr
In 2006, I found myself sitting on the cold floor of a prison cell—stripped of freedom, identity, and the life I once knew. I wasn’t just broken. I was silent.
At the time, I didn’t yet know that silence can hold seeds. That a woman’s voice, once reclaimed, can become the root system of a revolution.
That was the day Fierce Grace was born—long before it had a name.
From the Ashes: A Movement Took Shape
In the stillness of incarceration, I didn’t just grieve. I listened
to the women around me. To the stories that didn’t make headlines. And to the voices that had never been invited to speak.
When I was released, I carried their truths with me.
And I made a promise:
Our stories will not be forgotten.
We will not be defined by our worst mistake.
So I wrote. I spoke. I built. And in doing so, I watched a ripple take root.
Today, Fierce Grace is more than a movement.
It’s a gathering of women brave enough to believe that healing is holy—and that redemption is possible for every single story.

What I Believe
- Redemption doesn’t erase the past. It transforms it.
- Love is the most radical force on Earth.
- There is no story too messy to carry purpose.
- Healing is not linear—but it is sacred.
- Grace is not soft. It’s fierce.
The Roles I Carry
My work is shaped not only by lived experience, but by intentional training in compassionate care.
I am a certified Stephen Minister, formed in one-to-one spiritual caregiving and grounded in practices that honor boundaries, dignity, and trust.
My husband and partner in this work—also a Stephen Minister—is completing certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist, deepening our shared commitment to recovery-informed, trauma-aware support.
I bring together two very different ways of thinking.
Trained in both strategic systems (MS, Internet Marketing) and creative expression (MFA, Media Design), I weave logic and intuition into work that is as grounded as it is poetic.
This integration shapes everything I create—from books and journals to movements and mentorship—allowing women not just to feel seen, but to move forward with clarity and purpose.
I AM…
- free.
- the founder of Fierce Grace and Fierce Publications.
- author of Living with Conviction and Killing Lisa.

- living proof that—even in the ruins—life still blooms.

into a legacy of transformation. Through Fierce Grace, she helps women reclaim their voice, their truth, and their path.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, unheard, or unworthy—let me tell you this:
You are not too far gone.
Your story still matters.
And the ripple starts with you.
Welcome to Fierce Grace.
Let’s change the world—one story at a time.
